2025 Obermayer Award Winners

This year marks the 25th annual presentation of the Obermayer Awards. The awards were founded by Dr. Arthur Obermayer and Dr. Judith Obermayer to honor people and organizations who have worked creatively and selflessly to raise awareness of Jewish history and culture in their communities, and to fight the rise of hate, prejudice, and antisemitism.

Obermayer Awards 2025

The awards will be presented on January 27, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. EST and 6:30 p.m. (18:30) in Germany at the Red Town Hall (Rotes Rathaus) in Berlin. The Awards ceremony is hosted by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, and the President of the Berlin Parliament, Cornelia Seibeld, and marks Berlin’s observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Awards are presented by Widen the Circle and cosponsored by the Leo Baeck Institute.
